Since St. John the Baptist Catholic Church was founded, generations of our parish family have focused on fulfilling our mission to  “ give witness to the presence of the kingdom of God in ourselves,  our families,

our parish, the local community, and the world.” Today, this is needed more than ever, as we seek to meet the evolving needs of our parish, community, and world. The St. John’s family has a rich history of giving generously to further God’s ministry on earth. We now have the opportunity to give in a way that will bless both this generation and future generations, not only at St. John’s but also in our community, both near and far. This is truly an opportunity to Brighten Our Foundation!

Given the collective blessings within the parish, the campaign goal of $1,000,000 certainly isn’t lofty, but it will take a concerted effort to achieve.  Ideally, we pray for the parish’s vision of our future to push us

past an amount of $1,000,000 to cover any unexpected costs that may arise. As outlined in the brochure (available above), the efforts of the campaign focus on three phases: The Center of our Worship – The Sanctuary, The Atrium, Shared Spaces & Security, and Parking & Driveway Infrastructure. As with any building, our church home needs to be maintained to provide a safe, secure, comfortable, and environmentally responsible physical space where faith can grow and community and worship activities can be enjoyed.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, through the Brighten Our Foundation Capital Campaign, respectfully requests your prayerful consideration of a gift and/or pledge to help fund these much-needed

projects. This effort helps not only our parish today, but also all those members, families, youth, and community members who will look to St. John’s for mission and service in the future. Whatever your decision, your thoughtful response and prayers will be appreciated by all who count on St. John’s to continue our mission to give witness to the presence of the kingdom of God.

Brighten Our Foundation Prayer

O God, creator and giver of all
things, bless our parish family,
strengthen our faith, and grant
us the spirit of sacrifice. With
your grace, may we revive the
gift of our faith, restore our
parish facilities, and rejoice in
the blessings you still have in
store for us. May we glorify
you and grow in love for
you as a community of faith
through Christ our Lord. Amen.

June 4th & 5th

Thank you to all who came out on Sunday, May 15 to learn more about the Brighten Our Foundation Capital Campaign projects and goals. There was great discussion and questions during this Campaign Meeting and we look forward to continuing to share the updates as we move forward in this important endeavor. Please continue to look for the Renovation Committee updates in the bulletin and here on this webpage.

Each household should have recently received a packet of information on the campaign that outlined the different projects of the campaign (see "Project Brochure" at the top of this page). We encourage each household to take time to discern their participation in the campaign and then complete a commitment form (also found at the top of this page).

We will be holding Commitment Weekend    here at St. John's     on June 4th & 5th. After all Masses that weekend,    each household will have the opportunity to turn in a commitment form to make a pledge or gift to the Brighten Our Foundation Capital Campaign. While we are asking that pledge forms be returned at this time, your gift can start at whatever time is convenient for you. These pledges are very important as we continue discussions with contractors. Any work will depend on the timeline of our parishioners' generosity.

Secure campaign contributions may    also be given here via our parish e-giving platform, Vanco.

Each and every gift, no matter the level, makes a difference. Thank you again for your prayers and support as we continue through this effort. We are truly blessed by our wonderful parish family here at St. John the Baptist!

Monday, February 28 @ 6:30 PM - Capitani Social Hall

St. John the Baptist is partnering with Kirby-Smith Associates to conduct a Feasibility Study. This process will better help St. John's and its leadership evaluate what is needed and possible by gaining insights from each of our parishioners.

Each household was mailed a packet of information that included a letter, survey, proposed vision, and questionnaire. We encourage each parishioner to get involved in this process by completing and returning a survey. The Feasibility Study materials can also be found below. All completed surveys can be mailed or dropped off at the parish.

If you have any questions, please call 484-364-0781 or email rmusser@kirbysmith.com. Most importantly, please continue to pray for our parish family as we journey through this process together!
