If you are experiencing a health emergency, please call the emergency phone (717-309-0054) for the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.

"Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint [him] with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven."

- James 5:14-15

Receiving the Anointing of the Sick

The Anointing of the Sick is a Sacrament of Healing given by Christ through the Church, especially meant for those in danger of death.  Anointing by sacred oil on the forehead and on the palms of the hands, this sacrament first heals, strengthens, and reconciles the soul to Christ while also possibly resulting in physical healing in some cases.

It can be received more than one time, especially when health worsens, a serious surgery is upcoming, or a new diagnosis is discovered.  You may always ask a priest if Anointing of the Sick is applicable to you or your loved one's current situation.

If you desire the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and it is not an emergency, please contact the Church Office to schedule a time when a priest can visit you or your loved one (as well as the other Last Rites, which include Confession & the Eucharist):
