It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.

“Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”

GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements:

1. Video seminar with experts

2. Support group discussion with focus

3. Personal study with reflection

STARTS OCT 1st or 2nd

Grief does not take a break. St. John’s is offering “GriefShare Support” prior to the regular series to be rescheduled later this fall. “GriefShare Support” begins 6:30pm Thursday Oct. 1st and 10:30am Friday Oct. 2nd for 4 weeks.

Topics covered are: “COVID-19 & Grief," “Anxiety & Grief," “Loneliness & Grief," and “Searching for a ‘New Normal’ after Loss." Each video (or audio) presentation is 11 to 15 minutes long followed by discussion. There is no charge and participants may attend one or more sessions.

Zoom is preferred but non-internet users may attend by phone call. Registration begins now and lasts up to 4 pm the day of each Thursday’s presentation. Parishioners and non-parishioners are invited. Contact Judy @ or ext. 214.
