It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.
“Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”
GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements:
1. Video seminar with experts
2. Support group discussion with focus
3. Personal study with reflection
St. John’s is hosting a virtual GriefShare series Thursday evenings beginning March 10. 2022 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. GriefShare is a 13 week video-based, Christ-centered non-denominational grief support group led by trained facilitators.
Past participants have found healing through the video, discussion group and workbook exercises based on bible passages. Grieving adults of all denominations may join the group, but all must register to obtain access. There is no session Holy Thursday, April 14th nor Ascension Thursday, May 26th.
For registration and to purchase workbook, go to www.griefshare.org. All who register on-line will be contacted to confirm their registration. For additional information, visit atrium table after Masses Feb. 12 - 13th or contact Judy ext. 214 or email@example.com.
