Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Our parish offers the children of the parish an opportunity to participate in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This catechesis brings together children as young as 3 years old into the presence of Jesus through his/her experiences in the Atrium. The Atrium is a carefully prepared room which is located in our school building. What is different with this catechesis is it is based on the Montessori principles of educating the whole child, physically and spiritually.
The Parish Library contains religious books pertaining to the Catholic Faith. The Library is divided into categories, such as Bibles and Bible-related books, biographies of saints and popes, prayers and meditations, sacraments, and other areas of faith. The entire collection is made up of donated books. There is a self check-in/checkout book in the Library for when one wishes to borrow a book.

Religious Ed Catechist/Aide
Our Catechists and Aides are people of great faith and generosity who graciously share their time and talent for the sake of the Gospel. Our Religious Ed Program depends strongly on our Volunteers who love their faith and desire that our youth and their families grow in their faith as disciples for mission. On behalf of our entire Parish Community we continue to be grateful for all who assist and staff our many programs and projects. Their generous offering of leadership, support and service model well the vibrant partnership we encourage here at St. John’s.

Vacation Bible School is offered each summer here at St. John’s. We team up ecumenically with our neighboring churches to offer a fun filled week where the Gospel comes alive. Our campers embark an adventurous week within a themed environment. Our Teen Theatre sets the stage for our daily focus on the Word. There’s lots of outdoor fun, song and dance, creative crafts and opportunities for our youth to share their faith. We wrap up our week with an outreach mission project.
