Clothing Bank

The St. John’s Clothing Bank is supported by parishioners and community volunteers who sort seasonal clothing for those in need. Open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:30–10:30 a.m., the Clothing Bank is always grateful for volunteers and donations. Please donate only lightly used, cleaned items placed in a bag or box. Clothing donations may be dropped off inside the garage door (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) to the right of the building.
Peace & Justice

The Peace & Justice Ministry plans projects that promote positive change in social and human injustices, including a strong pro‑life commitment. We work to educate the parish and encourage action on the basic needs of life in light of the Gospel. Our primary focus is coordinating parish‑wide collections that support individuals and families in need, helping our community live out Christ’s call to justice and compassion.
Respect Life

The Respect Life Ministry highlights the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death and encourages parishioners to take part in pro‑life education and activities. The ministry also coordinates an annual baby supplies collection to support families in need. Through prayer, outreach, and advocacy, this ministry helps our parish uphold and celebrate the gift of life in all its stages.

The SYC Pantry proudly serves individuals and families throughout Southern York County. Our mission is to provide food assistance with compassion and dignity, fostering a supportive community where neighbors care for one another.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent de Paul Society offers personal, non‑judgmental assistance based on the needs of each individual or family. Rooted in trust and confidentiality, the Society promotes self‑sufficiency by helping people help themselves while preserving their dignity. In partnership with parish ministries and local community resources, the Society works to address poverty in all its forms and provide practical support to those in need. All funds come from the generous donations of parishioners, and 100% of contributions are used directly to assist those seeking help. Vehicle Donation

Are you planning on selling or trading in your current car? Please consider donating it! St. John’s encourages parishioners to support Stewartstown UMC’s “GRACE” Ministry (“Giving Reliable Automobiles, Creating Empowerment”). Currently, the need for donated cars outweighs the supply.
They accept most vehicles, provided they can be started. The Ministry offers free vehicle pickup and performs minor repair work before giving the car to someone in need, at little or no cost. You would receive the necessary paperwork to file your tax-deductible donation!
